Jon is attending an event put on by http://www.nanoparticles.org/ this weekend and next week.
I bring the subject of this conference up because everyone interested in clean and the development of cleaner, greener technologies, should really start learning more about this stuff…most of it goes over my head, but regardless, it’s fascinating. And it will be impacting your life, and mine anyway, so might as well start reading up now.
For example, a new study, published in Environmental Science & Technology, says some iron nanoparticles may be effective in cleaning up carbon tetrachloride in contaminated groundwater. If you want to read the press release about this, linked to the nanoparticles.org website – go for it: http://www.ohsu.edu/ohsuedu/newspub/releases/011205ironhtml.cfm.
Warrants reading. Isn’t that amazing?
