Ah HAH!! Finally. This is great. I have to call this company and see if I can get a briefing with them. Very interesting.   ExpLAN’s project to create a computer technology that is appropriate for the majority of needs within the 3rd World, using renewable energy resources and promoting sustainable development ideals seems to be looking good. The technology is intended to encourage trade and growth of the indigenous economy, including the production and possible export of the Solo computers themselves; aid communications, and stimulate transfer of information across the digital divide, not to mention foster educational links with schools in Western Countries for the mutual benefit of both parties and provide access to medical data for clinics in remote areas, including Aids awareness, and access to remote diagnosis using email and digital photography.  My only comments: someone who does great web design needs to help these guys with their website.  I will have to talk to Jen about this…happy early Thanksgiving, everyone!!
