Mindclick Launches Consumer Global Warming Monitor (GWM)

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

MindClick just announced the launch of The MindClick Consumer Global Warming Monitor (GWM), a quarterly examination of how concern for global warming is effecting U.S. consumers’ purchase habits, perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors.

The first research study to date focused solely on understanding the American consumers’ level of concern for global warming. As part of a 2-phase development study, this initial phase focused on uncovering the depth and intensity of concern for global warming among U.S. consumers. Phase 2’s in the works, too, so stay tuned.

What’s noteworthy is that Mindclick has given a voice to consumers in a way that has been sorely lacking up til now. With their GWM, Mindclick has uncovered five distinct consumer segments explaining U.S. consumers’ attitudes, opinions and behavior in response to global warming. The numbers are very interesting. You might not think this is ‘clean’ or ‘green’ tech, but believe me – this sort of thing will definitely be driving product developments, policy changes, politicos’ agendas, customer satisfaction programs and boardroom strategy. I’d call that using tech to make things greener…
