Well, I’ve spent the last week plus utterly buried. Having said this, I haven’t taken my eye off the ball. I’ve just been busy doing things like helping to write business plans, working on client calls, dealing with wedding stuff, and entertaining visiting relatives.
Today, I thought I’d do a little background checking on some of the water technologies I haven’t had time to focus on lately – and also, spend a little time looking at some of the upcoming conferences addressing water technologies out there.
First of all – if no one has ever thought of using Linked In as a way to network to get to know people who have an expertise in topic areas that you don’t, but would LIKE to have some additional knowledge in, get on the Internet, hop on Linked In, and network the hell out of it. Ask people if they will give you a little bit of their time during the day to answer some questions. And be prepared when you talk with them. Don’t waste someone’s time. Anyway, it’s just a tip. It’s one way I am learning about topic areas I lack expertise in.
Secondly – Google, google, google.
