The Vectrix - Your Next Scotter?

So apparently this thing is selling for sub-$500 in India, and doesn’t require a license to drive.
It incorporates only 240 parts, vs. the huge amount required for gas-powered scooters, which brings down production and maintenance costs significantly for operators and maintainers. I might just have to get one of these.

Initially, the Vectrix maxi-scooter will be available in major cities in Europe and the United States, including London, Rome, Milan, Florence, Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami. The VXe will be sold through a combination of franchised retail stores, electric vehicle dealers, independent motorcycle dealers, and direct sales to fleet buyers.

Vectrix is building a worldwide distribution network. Accelerated Systems Integration, Inc. (ASI) is the recommended financing agent for the Vectrix Electric and Fuel Cell / Electric Hybrid Scooters. ASI provides financing for the Vectrix Scooter to consumers, private fleets, and municipalities throughout Europe and the United States.
