I don’t know about you, but I personally struggle with remembering urls, since new ones seem to bounce around in and out of my days with surprising frequency. So I like that TheFindGreen.com folks have come up with such a practical name…at least I think the name is practical. It seems easy enough to remember, is a ‘phrase’ that most people – whether of the ‘light-green’ or ‘dark-green’ variety – would probably think of in doing a Google search. It just makes sense. How many of us have typed in “green” or “find green this-or-that” in Google? I have.
So I’m interested to see how TheFindGreen.com is going to fare with the broader public. The company is certain to capture some interesting stats on consumer purchase behavior, which in itself would be really interesting to review.
Consumers can find items ranging from clothing to bedding, food, and household appliances. There’s organic cotton this and that, eco-friendly cleaners, recycled handbags, sustainable furniture, fair trade chocolates, organic coffee and teas, and even cosmetics. And the site will show you photos of items, with a description and direct links to your specific request. I plugged in phrases on everything from ‘carpet’, to ‘low flow’ (as in showerheads), to ‘water purifiers’, to ’shower curtains’ and it came back with answers that looked pretty reasonable to me.
So – that said…I’d check it out if I were you. It can only help in the search to do what we all know is right to do: vote with your pocketbook and buy green/eco-friendly…whatever you want to call it.
